Lodging and Camping
Lodging is limited in Highland County. If you plan to spend the weekend in Monterey, we suggest you make reservations as soon as possible. For a list of lodging options check out:

Dominion Power's Bath County Pump Storage Facility
This beautiful recreation area is approximately 25 miles SSW of Monterey on Route 600
in Bath County. Restrooms and showers are available. There is a fee. For more information
call Fred Frye at 540-468-2680.
Cave Country Store
This camping area by the river is located approximately 14 miles north of Monterey on
Route 220 in West Virginia. Bathrooms and metered showers are available. Reservations are recommended. Call Bertha Hise at 304-358-7553 between 7:00am and 5:00pm or leave a message.
Highland School Grounds
For those of you arriving Friday, you may pitch a tent or sleeping bag on the grassy
area directly behind the school building. Showers in the school gym will be
open until 10:00pm. Port-o-John available in camping area. Please be considerate and respectful of our school as it is a very important part of our community.
